CONFERENCE VENUE 

The conference venue will be at Kyoto University Clock Tower Centennial Hall.

In the year 794, the Emperor Kanmu founded a new city named "Heian-Kyo" - Capital of Peace. Ever since the Imperial seat remained in Kyoto for more than 1000 years. This history has left a legacy of tradition and elegance making Kyoto a living museum. The conference will be held at Kyoto University, which is located on the east side of Kyoto city. For the reasons of capacity and accessibility, several hotels at city center will be recommended for the delegates (see the Accommodation page). The conference venue and these hotels are connected by public transportation.  

CLIMATE 

Climate on October in Kyoto is quite pleasant with some chance of rain. The average temperature during the period of the conference varies from 11C (52F) at night to 21C (70F) during the day.
